FIRST NATIONS CULTURAL TRAINING FOR YOGA AND WELLNESS PRACTITIONERS

Jem Stone and cntre space would love to invite you to sit and yaan in circle and share ways we can all connect and walk forward more gently together.

This training was co-created by Eve White and Jem Stone and will be facilitated by Jem Stone, First Nations woman, wellness practitioner and educator, and is designed for all yogis and wellness practitioners to expand the way we think about wellness, to create opportunities of reciprocity, to showcase First Nations culture and wellness practices and will teach you how to use cultural safety and appreciation rather than appropriation in your studio, spaces and practice.

We will unpack Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and philosophy, finding connections with yogic and wellness philosophies. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture has not been lost, just disrupted. Our ways of knowing, being, doing, valuing and learning remain in an ancestral framework of knowledge that is still strong.

How much First Nations cultural awareness do you have? Have you unpacked your implicit bias baggage? The invitation is to be brave and make change by taking this journey together in true allyship. Jem creates a safe and supportive space to integrate the teachings and allows you the opportunity to safely ask questions as we move through the workshop

together.

Come and connect and learn ways to strengthen your connection to Country in your practice and life. Learn ways to respectfully acknowledge Mother Earth, your own cultural connections and the oldest continuing culture on the planet.

This training is for anyone who teaches or practices yoga or works in wellness spaces and is accredited by Yoga Australia and International Institute of Complementary Therapies.
