Kundalini has been described throughout the yogic and tantric traditions as a latent potential within the human system — a force of awakening, vitality, creativity, and expanded awareness.
In this two-day immersion, Tara brings together decades of study and practice in yoga, tantra, somatics, movement, meditation, and embodied inquiry to explore Kundalini through a grounded and experiential lens.
Rather than approaching Kundalini as an abstract or purely esoteric concept, this workshop explores how awakening unfolds through the body itself — through sensation, breath, movement, awareness, the nervous system, and the energetic centres traditionally known as the chakras.
Participants will be guided through a progressive journey from the foundational energies of grounding and embodiment, through the emotional and relational centres of the heart and throat, and toward deeper states of awareness, integration, and presence.
The weekend will weave together:
Suitable for yoga practitioners, meditators, movement enthusiasts, therapists, facilitators, and anyone interested in exploring the relationship between body, energy, and consciousness.
Base to Crown: Entering the Sacred Thread
We begin with the foundational centres of the body, exploring grounding, stability, embodiment, and our connection to the greater field of life. Through somatic inquiry and energetic awareness, participants will investigate the relationship between the root and crown centres and the movement of energy throughout the system.
Water & Fire: Creativity, Vitality and Transformation
The afternoon explores the energetic landscape of the lower centres, including themes of creativity, emotional flow, vitality, digestion, willpower, and transformation. Through movement, meditation, and embodied practices, participants will deepen their relationship with the living intelligence of the body.
Heart & Voice: Relational Awareness and Expression
The morning session explores the heart and throat centres, inviting greater connection, authenticity, compassion, communication, and relational presence. Practices will support participants in expanding beyond the individual self into a deeper experience of connection and expression.
Awareness, Integration & Awakening
The weekend concludes with practices designed to integrate the journey of the previous sessions. Through meditation, breathwork, chanting, movement, and embodied awareness, participants will explore the relationship between grounded presence and expanded states of consciousness.
Tara’s work is unique in that it bridges deep somatic understanding with the wisdom of the tantric traditions, offering a practical and embodied approach to themes that are often misunderstood or presented in overly mystical ways.
